Cryos, known as The Winter, The Silent King, and Lord of the Underworld, is the god of ice, stillness, and the realm of resolution. Brother to Ariana (The Mother), Cryos governs the Underworld — the Deep Quiet where identity dissolves, conflict resolves, and the narrative of existence finds its close.

Though often feared by mortals, Cryos is not a god of cruelty or death for its own sake. He represents Completion — the necessary pause that gives meaning to motion. Where Ariana creates and the Sunworld lives, Cryos receives what has ended. The final passage of souls is the domain of his son Aros; Cryos is the lord of the realm where those souls find rest.

Origins

Born alongside Ariana (The Mother) from Chronos (The Father), Cryos inherited the quiet, reflective nature of time's endless flow. Where Ariana brought motion and life, Cryos embraced stillness and the necessity of endings. Together, they formed the perfect balance of the cosmos.

When Chronos established the Sunworld, Cryos carved the Underworld — a domain of quiet inevitability where endings find stillness. From his citadel, the Hollow Spire, he watches the mortal realm through veils of snow and dream. His children, Aros (God of Death) and Inuera (Goddess of Change), ensure that the passage to resolution is honoured and that nothing stagnates beyond purpose.

Relationships with Other Deities

• Ariana – His sister and eternal counterpart. Though their philosophies differ, Cryos and Ariana respect one another deeply. Her creation cannot exist without his silence, and his peace would mean nothing without her life.
• Aros – His son, God of Death, who governs the final passage of souls into the Underworld.
• Inuera – His daughter, Goddess of Change, who ensures that nothing remains frozen beyond purpose.
• Eriana – His niece, the goddess of nature. Cryos brings the winter that allows her spring to return. Their relationship is one of solemn cooperation — she ends where he begins.
