The Avarian Guard

The kingdom's primary military and defence force, led by Lord Commander Dame Katerina Harthaven (House Harthaven). Trained to protect Avaria from all threats, they are often seen in their iconic white armour, symbolising allegiance to the kingdom.

The elite Royal Guard is a subset of the Avarian Guard tasked with protecting the royal family and key strongholds; it is commanded by Captain Ser Rowan Meryndor with Lieutenant Ser Thoren Valhart.

Structure

Monarch (King Thaddeus Hartwright): The ultimate leader of Avaria and the Avarian Guard, holding supreme authority over the kingdom's military forces.

Lord Commander (Dame Katerina Harthaven): The highest-ranking officer within the Avarian Guard. Responsible for overall command and coordination. Advises the monarch on military strategy, defence, and matters pertaining to the security of the kingdom.

Captain: Commands a specific company within the Avarian Guard. Responsible for leading and training the soldiers under their command. Executes the orders of the Lord Commander.

Company: A self-contained unit, led by a captain and composed of several platoons. Companies are assigned specific tasks or areas of responsibility within the kingdom's defence structure.

Platoon: A subdivision of a company, led by a lieutenant.

Lieutenant: Second-in-command to a company captain.

Sergeant: Non-commissioned officer leading a squad within a platoon.

Squad: A small tactical unit within a platoon, led by a sergeant.

Soldier: Enlisted personnel—the backbone of the Avarian Guard.
