Overview

The Crystal Archives are the oldest scholarly institution in Crystalport, predating much of the city’s modern expansion. Located in Old Town near Founder’s Square, the Archives serve as the official repository of maritime knowledge for Avaria’s northern coast.

Within its walls are preserved:

• Navigational charts of the Lumina Sea
• Records of monster sightings
• Storm pattern logs spanning centuries

• Accounts of strange phenomena beyond mapped waters

To captains, the Archives are necessity.

Architecture

Unlike the elegant towers of Glimmergate or the grand estates of The Cliffs, the Crystal Archives are sturdy, fortified, and old.

The building is constructed from thick coastal stone blocks — darker than most Old Town structures — suggesting its foundations predate even the current city walls.
