Avarian Navy

The Avarian Navy is the naval branch of Avaria's military, responsible for defending the kingdom's waters, protecting maritime trade routes, and engaging in naval combat when necessary. It is headquartered in the port city of Crystalport, where the kingdom's principal naval dockyards and the naval command at Portwatch Keep are located.

Role and duties

Patrol: The navy patrols Avaria's waters, including the Lumina Sea, keeping shipping lanes safe and deterring threats.
Trade protection: As the kingdom's maritime and commercial powerhouse, Crystalport depends on secure seas; the navy works in concert with the Harbormaster's Association and local defences such as The Beacon Guard to safeguard trade.
Combat: The navy is prepared to engage in naval combat when required, upholding the kingdom's laws against piracy on the Lumina Sea and banditry on Avarian land.

Relationship to other forces

The Avarian Navy operates alongside the Avarian Guard, militia, and Mage Corps as part of Avaria's unified defence. Sea trade from Crystalport connects Avaria to Luxor, Dalr, and other regions, making the navy essential to the kingdom's economy and security.
