Their estate—Whitmere Library Manor—adjoins the royal library wing and houses one of the largest private collections of pre-unification manuscripts in the kingdom.

Publicly the family embodies the queen's ideals: education for all, respect for the Fae, and preservation of heritage. Privately they guard their reputation as neutral scholars—though Queen Isolde's marriage has inevitably drawn them into court politics, especially when education funding clashes with House Ashford's fiscal conservatism.
