In the beginning there was no light, no dark, no before and no after.
Then came Chronos.
He did not speak.
He moved.
And movement created sequence.
From sequence came stars.
From stars came matter.
From matter came world.
Chronos shaped the Mortal Realm — the Sunworld —
a realm where life would burn bright and brief,
where beginnings and endings would give meaning to time.
But within his creation stirred tension.
For from his vastness he brought forth two children:
Ariana — flame of arcane creation.
Cryos — frost of inevitable stillness.
Cryos looked upon mortality and saw order.
For what begins must end.
Ariana looked upon mortality and saw tragedy.
For what blooms should not simply fade.
So Ariana shaped something new.
She did not undo Chronos’ work.
She layered upon it.
She crafted the Fae Realms —
a luminous reflection interwoven with the Mortal Realm,
a Moonworld that would remember what the Sunworld forgot.
The Fae were born:
Immortal.
Magical.
Dependent.
For Ariana bound her realm to the vitality of mortals.
If the Sun should dim,
the Moon would fade.
Cryos, in response, carved the Underworld —
a domain of quiet inevitability.
A place where endings found stillness.
From Ariana came Lucien and Eriana —
chance and nature —
ensuring that time remained dynamic.
From Cryos came Aros and Inuera —
death and transformation —
ensuring that nothing stagnated.
And when shadow first pressed against existence —
when forces beyond Chronos’ design sought entry —
Ariana, Lucien, and Eriana together gave rise to Alcor,
Protector and Sacrifice,
a comet blazing against darkness.
Thus the cosmos became layered:
Chronos — the Flow
Ariana — the Resonance
Cryos — the Completion
Mortals burn.
Fae remember.
Underworld receives.
Time continues.
And so long as Sun and Moon remain bound,
existence endures.
